About Transform Your City
Our mission is to transform every city into a pedestrian city. We‘re building a new approach to urban advocacy—one that starts with compelling visuals that radically reimagine city streets. We invite you to create or participate in a campaign to transform your city and create urban spaces that lead to safer, healthier, and greener outcomes.

Zach Katz
Brooklyn, NY
I’m an artist and activist who created @betterstreetsai, which eventually led to founding Transform Your City as a way to make these visions for better streets a reality. I'm an armchair expert in Dutch street design, led two safe street campaigns in Portland, and previously founded two ecommerce companies. I’ve lived in Boston, LA, Portland, Amsterdam, and now NYC. I love riding my e-bike, but wish it were more pleasant to ride from my place in Bushwick to Prospect Park.

Mark Merwitzer
Miami, FL
My mission is to ensure everyone has access to safe and vibrant streets in their neighborhood. After graduating from the University of Florida, I became a Public Policy Manager at Transit Alliance, a Miami-based transportation advocacy non-profit. Some of the things I have previously accomplished include spearheading a law to ban texting while driving in Florida and co-founding a student organization to advocate for safer streets. In my personal life, I am passionate about photography and travel.

Colin Kronholm
Los Angeles, CA
I’m a product designer out of Tufts University. I’m passionate about creating a more equitable and sustainable future through smart climate solutions. I believe that transforming our cities to be built for people can have a butterfly effect on our collective health and physical wellbeing, safety, sense of community, and more.

languageI am a software developer based in Brooklyn, NY, with many years experience designing and building websites, mobile apps and more. I’m also an advocate for more walkable, livable urban spaces, that break down societal barriers created by car-centric urban planning and enable healthier and more enjoyable human connection.
